Haikus and other news

Hi everyone. We've been busy around here. I'm recovering this week from some minor surgery last weekend. It was a terrible ordeal. Perhaps I will relive it another time. All I remember is fear, fear, fear, and then coming home, trying to clean myself and noticing something different... I'm a little, um, smaller in a certain sensitive area. But I have stopped walking funny and am back to my normal self. Mom assured me most cats go through this and all will be fine. She just wants to assure that I can't ever make more Mattinglys. She said she can only handle the cuteness of one. I have no idea what any of that means... I just hope I don't have to go through that again.

I've been keeping up with reading everyone's blogs, even though I haven't been writing in my own. I know I'm a little behind everyone else, but I wanted to write a haiku too. There are a few special ladies out there that I think should know how I feel about them. I just hope they don't think less of me now that parts of me are missing forever. They aren't much, I'm not a poet, but it was fun to try. Ok, here goes!

My first crush is an older lady... the lovely Stumpy!

Gray and white delight
With a tail so short and sweet
Beautiful Stumpy

And who can resist that playful little Maggie McKitten-Cat. She's more my age.

Small, lovely Maggie
I like her unique beauty
And her playful ways

Ok I hope I didn't embarrass myself too much. I'm not trying to start anything like what's going on with Kukka, William, and Moose. I just wanted to let two ladies out there know how beautiful and appreciated they are!

Mattingly,
Don't worry I think all of us boy kitties have had that same visit to the VET. We all do OK afterwards. It is still OK to like the girls, you just can't make more kitties. Hmmm. Maybe that is better, no child support.

Congratulations on becoming a man!
And if penning Haikus is embarassing, join the club. A lot of us have done them!

Awesome haiku, man!

And I'm sorry you had the fun bits whomped off. Most of us have to do it...it would be nice if the People ASKED first!

Thanks for the support fellas. I still don't quite understand what my last trip to the vet has to do with making kitties but Mom says that's cause I've been isolated from other cats since I was a kitten and that maybe someday she'll explain it to me... but probably not. Anyway, it's good to know I'm not alone. You're right Max, it was a little upsetting not to have a say in the matter. Anyway, I'm mostly embarrassed by the feelings I revealed in my Haikus. We'll see what the ladies think!

What a nice haiku about Maggie. She'll be so flattered ... I just hope she doesn't let the extra attention go to her head. She already thinks she's the center of attention at home. Wait until she finds out others are thinking about her too...

Yes, well what can you do - the world doesn't need more cats.

Most of us guys are missing our manly parts. But our Dad says we're so handsome, we're still chick magnets, so it's OK.

Tipper likes your haikus, so the ladies are also attracted to intelligence & personality!

Mattingly, sorry you get confused by my site. Wish I had a way of emailing you so I could have replied directly. Comments are on Cat Talk page (see menu on left side of homepage in striped section). Yes, you did comment correctly. You can also send comments through the Contact Me page and or just send email. (All 3 go through my email anyway.) Let me know if you have anymore questions or confusions.

Hope you are all recovered from your little operation, Mattingly. I too have had this "procedure" done when I was a weeny kitten. It doesn't stop me from being gorgeous and manly, I'm sure it won't stop you either!
