Quick Update

During our second gate time yesterday we played! A lot! We got the hissing out of the way, then we were poking at each other and rolling around and purring. She kept trying to get over the fence to come play with me, but Mom wouldn't let her yet. Then this morning I almost pushed my way into her room and we got to touch paws and noses before Mom put an end to the fun. All morning I've been telling Mom how much I want to go in there and play, but Mom says not quite yet. She wants to see that we can be good again between the gate. And Dad read that it's best to do this slow... but I don't want to wait anymore! I want to play with my sister!

There will be pictures tonight. Mom promise promised me that she would take care of it. And if Mom can figure it out, there might even be a video of us playing! I'm going to go back to her door and talk to her a bit. Hope you puddins have a great day!

Our Mommy went the ofer way wif us - when she broughted me home, she putted me in the "troll box" for the rest of the day, and then I gotted to sleep in the bedroom wif her that night. Then, the next day, she letted Trixie and Norton into the room wif me and closed the door and wented to werk. By the time she gotted home, we was all curled up togefur on the bed. Then she did the same fing wif Miles - by the end of the 2nd day, we was all curled up togefur. But most people go slow, and that's prolly the best way for most kitties. - Sammy

Congrats on the new sister, Mattingly. We're anxious to see her! Our Mom says the best way to introduce a new kitten to a resident cat is to...how can I say this delicately...
present her "rear end" area to you first, since that's where her scent is the strongest. It's worked well for me when I was introduced to my sister Tipper and my brother Max when they were adopted. Also, keep in mind that kittens are fearless so she might try to attack you not understanding how you'll react. Try and stay calm and everything will be fine.

We want to see the pictures too!!! Can't wait! Scout was behind a gate for a couple days then next thing we know he was on top of it & out exploring. At 6 weeks we couldn't keep him back. So we figured its gonna happen sooner or later & it was sooner. All went well. Yours will too!
