It's going to work like this: You can leave suggestions in the comments of any post I make this week. You can make as many suggestions as you like. You can make name suggestions up until (and including) Saturday. On Sunday, Mom will get all the names together, and she, Dad, and I will have a pow-wow (or pow-meow?) and announce the winner as soon as we decide. If you suggest the name we give her, you will receive a gift from our family in the mail, and my Mom and Dad will also make a donation to a shelter or rescue society of your choice, in your name. But we will get to those details when it's time. Throughout the week I'll post some pictures and any other tidbits of information that may be useful.
To start you off, here is some info about her:
- She's a girl
- She looks a bit like a little cow
- In fact when Dad called her "Little Cowgirl" one night, Mom liked it
- She's crazy, and her eyes make her look a little insane
- She likes to play with everything and her new favorite toy is the laundry basket
- She purrs the instant she is touched

Princess Instapurr Moo of the Order of the Tux Ee Doe!
Now, that's a name!
Oh my, we cannot come up wif anyfing better than Mia's suggestion. We'll have to think harder.
We likes Cowgirl - but here is some other ideas we thought of too.
Annie Oakley
Elsie
Wrangler Jane (cowgirl on F Troop)
That's all in the "cowgirl" group that we thot of for now....
Finny & Buddy
I think you should name her Suri, since she was probably born just before the TomKat baby, making it appear the TomKat copied you.
Or Vaca Loca (Crazy Cow in Spanish).
Here are my suggestions:
Gau Mata - "Cow Mother", a term of endearement by Hindu people for the cow
Hathor - the Egyptian cow goddess
Hera (Greek) / Juno (Roman) - Greek goddess of marriage and childbirth who was represented typically by a cow
Well, theres some good singin' cowgirls like Dolly, Loretta, Dixie (as in Dixie Chicks)....
Long long long time before me? My mom had a little girl named Cowbell.
Your little sister looks like a Della to me. She has a cute little nose.
We were thinking Daisy the Cowgirl, but we also like SSS's suggestion of Dixie.
--Jasper, Josie, HB, Maggie
I say Smudge for the little dark nose she has.
Calamity Jane or Dale (as in Dale Evans)
Everyone has suggested such good names - I bet you have fun choosing - unless she tells you another name first!
I have been doing my research. Here are my suggestions. First, some "cow" names:
Damona - a Gallic (French/Irish) goddess who was known as The Divine Cow!
Juliana de Kol- Famous Californian state cow who was escorted to the 1904 World's Fair in her own private railway carriage!
Ermintrude - The cow from the Magic Roundabout (classic British-French children's cartoon, Ermintrude was famous for calling people "dear heart". My mum still loves Ermintrude!
Milka - like the cow chocolate! Plus Mattingly and Milka go rather well together...
Crazy Daisy - speaks for itself!
Or, non-cow-related names:
Jellicle - because Jellicle cats are black and white!
Hattie - my favourite girl kitty's name because it was my sister's name!
I am going to suggest Maxine; in honor of the psychokitty. She's black and white like Max and she has catitude.
Whatever her name, she looks like a real cutie!
Dee
You could call her Annie-O for Annie Oakley, my mama's favorite cowgirl when she was a little girl. Annie-O and Mattingly!
How about Bella
Cows and cats both wear bells, and you said she likes bells.
