We are slowly getting back into blogging. I haven't been on the computer much... it's such a big house we live in now, especially compared to the NYC apartments we lived in before. Before we get back to sharing our stories, we are looking to get recommendations for some kitty furniture. Mom and Dad want to purchase us some window perches and some sort of tall climbing tree. What do you kitties have that you love and would like to recommend? We're happy to buy home-made stuff too... not just stuff from the big pet department stores.
I will post a new picture of me soon, but I thought in the meantime it would be nice to show how much the girl has changed since we last posted about her. Here she is trying to share a sticker with Harlie... but Harlie didn't have much use for it.

Edited to Add: I didn't mean to imply that we don't want things from big department stores... just that we're open to lots of ideas... even DIY projects (well, you know, the beans will do it!).
Mom is realizing how many green papers the big fancy ones are and is changing her mind about what to get us... :o) Thanks for your help!

Wish we could refer you to a brand, but we got ours from a big pet department store. The really fancy ones are too expensive for our budget.
It's nice to share, but we bet Harlie would rather have some tasty baby food.
Yes we only have smaller ones from department stores--the cool ones that we like are a bit more expensive than we can afford--but we do like ours.
We love our Lotus Cat tree. We got it from Refined Feline. It looks real pretty, too!
As you might know, we have a 4 shelf cat tree which is perfect for us. It did come from one of the big pet stores, but Mom thinks it was worth the money since we've had it for many years and it's just now showing wear on the carpeted edges. It's right in front of our deck doors and we love laying on it and watching our yard.

If you go to DIYnetwork.com, they have directions for window perches that you can move from window to window. At least your girl was sharing, and not tail pulling!

Buy or make, depends on how handy you are. The window perches you can use depend on the windows, so making your own might be better. Check out the stores, see what they cost then see what you can do on your own.

We've seen some homes that had shelves/ramps along the walls for the kitties to climb up and down and all around. That might be worth a thought if you are buying, not renting. (doubt a landlord would appreciate a permanent cat climbing wall :-) )
If your beans are handy and have the tools, you could make your own tower(s). The only worry is to make sure they are stiff enough to handle jumping kitties.
